Velux Loft Conversions

The easiest and most cost-effective loft conversion is the Velux model. This is a style that preserves the existing shape of the roofline but has top-of-the-range Velux windows installed into the roof itself to let in light. A Velux loft conversion works best when your attic has plenty of headroom and ample space to use.

You are not limited to one type of window. There are various styles to choose.

Dormer Loft Conversions

The dormer is the most common type of loft conversion. It involves adding a dormer to the roof to provide extra headroom and more usable space. With a dormer, you use the roof's sides as living space because the box-shaped addition sits within the slope. Right-angles in the dormer create a flat roof.

This is one of the most classic and popular styles for a conversion project.

Hip-to-Gable Loft Conversions

The hip-to-gable style is a perfect choice for detached period properties and bungalows. This conversion extends the roof on the side that slopes to create more space. The sloping roof is removed, and a new side wall built. You can also add a dormer to gain even more living space and enjoy better views.

After extending the roof, you can add Velux windows to increase space and light flow, or you can add extra features such as double doors or a balcony.

Beku Development has a pride and passion for loft conversion projects in the Brighton, Hove, Rustington, Shoreham and Worthing areas, and in all other locations across East and West Sussex. Every conversion begins with a visit to your home so we can consult with you, familiarise ourselves with the job specification, explain how the style will work for your property and, subject to you agreeing to the costs in our quotation, we organise a start date.

If you have a growing family, you should improve and not move. We will do everything we can to create the space you need in the home you love.
